Staff shoutout to our two GIS Specialists, Christine & Paige, who won awards for maps they submitted during their attendance of the IMAGIN Annual Educational Conference over the weekend! Also, not to mention our GIS Director Ken, who gave a knowledge-packed presentation which required some attendees to stand because there wasn't enough seating!

Happy GIS Day to all our wonderful followers!
What do parcels, school district boundaries, and contour lines have in common? They’re all one of the MANY data layers we maintain that are enabled by the power of Geographic Information Systems. This technology, often behind the scenes, helps our citizens, businesses and government entities of Genesee County. On GIS Day, we celebrate how this technology is transforming our county, from mapping zoning boundaries to fire hydrant locations. You might not see it, but GIS is working every day to make the services you may rely on work more efficiently throughout the county.
