The Keep Genesee County Beautiful office will be closed tomorrow, June 19! We will reopen on Monday.

Genesee County offices and departments will be closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

On June 5th we partnered with the North Flint Action Council to hold the second annual 'Paint a Stone' event at the Chester & Cynthia Simmons Memorial Parkway. This event creates a space for those who have lost someone to violence, to remember their loved ones by telling their stories and painting a stone. The painted stones are then placed in the reservoir under the memorial tree.

Thank you so much to everyone who joined us at our River & Roots: Community Carnival and Resource Fair! Thank you to our local partners who set up resource tables, volunteers, community members, and our roommates, the Flint River Watershed Coalition. We had an excellent turn out and we can't wait to do it again next year!

Come on out to Sarvis Park today from 5pm-7pm to get some free books and a storytime stroll with the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library and a Stem session with Sloan Museum of Discovery! We will be hosting with snacks, seed kits, coloring, and more information on events coming this summer!

Keep Genesee County Beautiful is thrilled to partner again with In The Beginning: 1st Ward Project and organizations at the Flint Cultural Center for the second annual Cultural Park to Park!

This initiative establishes valuable relationship and community building amongst Flint residents in all 9 wards, helping to eliminate barriers to support social change and provide residents with available resources and programming from the participating Flint Cultural Area organizations: Flint Institute of Arts, Flint Institute of Music, Sloan Museum of Discovery, & Gloria Coles Flint Public Library.

You can expect Hands-on activities and experiences for all ages, Cultural area information, parks experiences & resources, connecting & networking, & more!

We are so excited about the Mott Park "Going Green" Toolshed! 💚

We will hold a ribbon cutting and grand opening of the Mott Park “Going Green” Toolshed at 5:15pm at Mott Fest. Join us at the Clubhouse basement to celebrate this key resource that is already helping our neighbors. Special thanks to Councilperson Tonya Burns and the City of Flint for supporting this project.
