Here’s a heartfelt recap of Unplugged in the Park at Max Brandon Park! 🌳💚
We were grateful to have so many wonderful vendors and community partners join us, creating a day filled with connection, learning, and fun. From Great Lakes Serpentarium to Cedar Acres Homestead, there was something for everyone to enjoy and discover.
A special thanks to our partner, Catherine Slayton with MSU Extension Genesee County, for helping make this event possible and supporting our shared vision of bringing people together and out to the parks.
Unplugged is more than just an event; it’s about building community, creating unity, unplugging from our electronics, and reconnecting with one another and the parks around us. Each year, we plan to bring Unplugged to a different park in the City of Flint, introducing residents to new resources, opportunities, and experiences while continuing to build relationships and trust within the community.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came out, participated, shared a smile, and helped make Unplugged a true community experience. We’re already looking forward to where we’ll unplug next! 💚🌿
Special Thank You to Yusef Harrold, Owner of Frosty's Ice Cream Kingdom in Mt. Morris, MI, for generously sponsoring Unplugged with delicious ice cream from Frosty’s! Be sure to support them as they support our community, Their support helped make the day even sweeter. 🍦❤️
