Northbound I75 is shut down due to a fatal crash in Flint Twp near NB I75/Bristol. All NB I75 traffic is being diverted to NB I475.

Side Note: NB US23 is also closed, and all NB traffic is being diverted to Hill Rd.

Congratulations to Chief William Renye on 25 years of distinguished law enforcement service with the Grand Blanc Township Police Department. Throughout his career, Chief Renye has demonstrated exceptional leadership, professionalism, and dedication to public safety through progressive service in patrol, specialized enforcement, supervision, executive command, and departmental accreditation.

As a respected instructor and subject matter expert, Chief Renye has trained hundreds of law enforcement officers across the State of Michigan in SFST, ARIDE, and the Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) program, contributing significantly to officer development and roadway safety statewide.

Chief Renye has shown outstanding command leadership through interagency coordination, community partnerships, and his commitment to the members of his department. His career stands as a testament to service, integrity, and leadership. Congratulations on this remarkable milestone and thank you for 25 years of dedicated service to the community.

At a time when many law enforcement agencies across the country are facing challenges with recruitment and retention, community support means more than ever.

We would like to sincerely thank Timbercrest Roofing and Siding for their generous donation of a massage chair to the Grand Blanc Township Police Department.

This chair will become part of our officer wellness program, giving officers an opportunity to decompress before or after their shifts so they can continue serving our community at their best.

Policing can be physically and mentally demanding, and partnerships like this remind our officers that their community supports and values them.

Last night, the 100 Club honored Officers Bellamy, Carpentier, C. Jones, Kilbourn, McAfee, Rexford, Whitt, Willette and Sgt. Bueche during their annual Hero Night.

We are incredibly proud of these officers and thankful for their courage, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to serving and protecting our community every day.
