Hourly $23.1839 $24.4721
Annual $48,223 $50,902

REQUIRED INFORMATION:

Letter of interest, resume, copy of law school transcripts and writing samples.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Conducts legal research and handles jurors in and out of the courtroom; has day-to-day responsibility for the operation of a digital recording system in the courtroom. Coordinates daily archival and backup procedures with the Court Technology Coordinator. Performs work under the supervision of the circuit judge assigned to criminal and civil dockets.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from an accredited law school. Applicants who have taken the bar exam and passed or are awaiting their bar exam results are encouraged to apply.

Judge Elizabeth Kelly presides over the admission to the State Bar of the newest attorneys. This event was sponsored by the Genesee County Bar Association and their President, Assistant Prosecutor Michael Tesner sponsored and moved for admission of the new attorneys. Andrew Brown was sponsored by his father, Attorney Curtis Brown. Also present were Judge Elect Chris Christenson on behalf of the Centennial American Inns of Court, Judge Elect Tabitha Marsh on behalf of the Mallory, VanDyne, Scott Bar Association, and Attorney Samantha Orvis Chair of the State Bar Young Lawyers Section and the Genesee County Bar Association Women Lawyers Representative.
