The Grand Blanc Advocacy, Recovery, and Connection Center (A.R.C.C.) is opening its doors to the community today.

The A.R.C.C. was created in the wake of last September's tragedy at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, to give Grand Blanc a local place to turn to for healing and support.

Join us this evening, 4–7 p.m., for an open house at 10761 S. Saginaw Street, Building B, Suite H. Come meet the people behind the work and see what's available: counseling, support groups, wellness activities, and programs like Food Smarts and Rec-Connect. It's open Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., and staffed by people ready to help.

The Community Foundation of Greater Flint (CFGF), together with the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, established the Grand Blanc Relief Fund to support survivors, families, and the broader community. Learn more at grandblancrelief.org.

Questions about the A.R.C.C.? Call 810.496.5035.

Our office is closed today in observance of Labor Day.

Labor Day has a special place in Flint’s history. From the 1936–37 Sit-Down Strike at General Motors to the workers who continue to build and strengthen our community today, Flint has a long history of standing up for working people.

Today, we honor the workers of Genesee County and the organizations helping create pathways to economic mobility — helping more people access good jobs, stable housing, and a real path forward.
