Dear Social Media Followers,

We're writing with mixed emotions, as we share that our nonprofit which has been in existence since 2001 has ceased its operations.

It is with a heavy heart that we have had to come to this decision. Over the years, we have dedicated ourselves to keeping expatriates connected and helping local students who needed encouragement, and we are proud of the work that we have done together. We've had many successes, thanks in large part to the support of our followers.

However, times change and the needs of the community have shifted. As a result, we have found that our services are no longer in demand, and it is no longer feasible for us to continue operating.

We want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years. Your willingness to share our message, donate your time and resources, and do what you could to make a difference has meant the world to us.

Please know that your generosity and kindness have made an impact on the people we helped every day. We have had the privilege of connecting with some truly amazing individuals over the years, and we will cherish those memories always.

We want to encourage all of you to continue to work towards making a difference in your own communities. There is still so much that needs to be done, and we know that each and every one of you has the power to make a real difference in the world.

Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We'll miss you here, but we'll see you in Flint!

With gratitude,
The Board of Flint Club

From Tonya Burns:
Sixth Ward residents are always welcome to call me and I answer to make sure their issues are taken care of but if anyone in Flint has any of these issues, here’s the number to call and you can leave a message with the Streets/Maintence Department.

Sad news.

We are very sad to announce the passing of our very own Hugh Godfrey owner of H. Godfrey Poultry & Eggs for as long as most of us can remember. Please keep his family and the Flint Farmers’ Market Family in your prayers. The market will not be the same without him.
RIH Hugh 🙏🏼❤️

Are you fed up with paying $0.75 to $1.50 just to fill up one of your tires? Think it's ridiculous to have to swipe your credit card to get access to something that should be free? FreeAirPump.com provides a map of locations that offer free air for tires.
