The Project Studio Project Studio for the Master Planning process

The City of Flint will be hosting a community open house this Monday September 30th at the Master Plan Project Studio at 120 East Second Street (Capital Theater) from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. At this community open house, people are encouraged to stop in and view the draft Master Plan, review other documents and view city maps.

The Imagine Flint plan leans heavily on concepts that are growing more common in urban planning, such as renovating vacant and abandoned urban areas using landscape options like urban farming or reforestation.

Thanks to everyone who came out tonight! We had some fun didn't we!? :) Gosh, it was great! We received tons of feedback tonight. I can't wait to get back into the office tomorrow and read the comments. Also, the musicians ROCKED! Seriously, we have some amazing talent in our area! Thank you Myron Manns, Eddie Kobayashi , Derek Turcsanyi, and LoveGood ( Jordan G. Orvis, Chelsea Hartner, and Taylor VonBrockdorff) for coming out and supporting the City of Flint's Master Planning Process! I really hope that the conversations that we started to have at the Project Studio do not stop tonight but continue to happen during this whole process and for a very long time after that! Greater things are still to come and greater things will be done in our city! - Adrian Montague

Just an FYI...in between music sets we will have a Master Plan Presentation, Q & A session, and round table discussion. We are anxious to hear how you would like to see Flint look like in the future! Your feedback is key in developing a better city wide plan for young adults in the area. Also we are super thankful for the musicians that are donating their time to help out and promote Flint! See you Thursday!
