Genesee County 911

Genesee County 911 The 911 Communications Center is central dispatch for 29 police agencies, 19 fire departments and 4 emergency medical ambulance services across Genesee County.

Each year we direct over half a million 911 emergency calls – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Genesee County 9-1-1 Center dispatches for 26 Police, 19 Fire & 4 Ambulance services to the citizens of Genesee County, excluding the City of Fenton. New Mission Statement:

Through teamwork, we provide the highest standard emergency communication services to the public. Agency Fundamentals;

1. Do

the Right Thing - Always - Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to doing the right thing in every action you take, and in every decision, you make, especially when no one is looking. Always tell the truth, no matter the consequences. If you make a mistake, own up to it and make it right.

2. Lead by Example - The best way to influence others is through your own example. Actions speak louder than words. Take responsibility, both formally and informally, to coach guide teach and mentor others. Be the change you wish to see.

3. Be Positive - You have the power to choose your attitude. Choose to be joyful, optimistic, and enthusiastic. See the good in others. Your attitude is contagious. Spread optimism and positive energy.

4. Take Ownership - Take personal responsibility for making things happen. It's never someone else's job or someone else's fault. Be resourceful and show initiative. If you see it, own it, and make sure it gets done. Don't make excuses.

5. Embrace Diverse Perspectives - Be open to learning from others, no matter what role they have and regardless of their age, background, experience or tenure with our Center. We make better decisions when we consider multiple perspectives.
