Genesee County Tax and Financial Services Coalition

The Genesee County Tax Assistance & Financial Services Coalition is a non-profit organization dedicated to "Giving Back to The Community".

The Genesee County Tax Assistance & Financial Services Coalition assists low-to-moderate income earners by providing free income tax return preparation. Through training, we provide dedicated volunteers with the skills required to assist and prepare taxes for the community at no cost.

There will be no tax service today, March 3, 2026 at MCC - Regional Technology Center, United Way of Genesee County

We have another update to our schedule! Please note that all tax prep services for Mott Community College will be provided at the Regional Technology Center. Dates and times remain the same, only the location has changed. No tax preparation will take place at Workforce Development; all tax preparation will happen at the Regional Technology Center.

Eligible Michigan homeowners and renters needing help with paying their heating bills can apply for the Home Heating Credit. Join us on Tuesday, September 16 from 10:00am - 3:00pm at Genesee County Habitat for Humanity to have your taxes completed. Appointments can be made by calling 313-556-1920; walk ins welcome. Scan the QR code to know what to bring. It is important to have all relevant documents so that your tax return can be completed on this day. There is no charge for eligible residents.

This is a partnership between United Way of Genesee County, Accounting Aid Society and Genesee County Habitat for Humanity.
