Have you ever wanted to find a fun way to give back to your state parks? You might want to save this post for later because we've got some ideas for you!

Here are some places you can volunteer:
Campgrounds/lighthouses: You can be a host at a campground or lighthouse in exchange for a place to stay. As a volunteer you may spend your time to answering questions, planning activities, giving tours and more.

Recreation classes: Become a member of a group dedicated to protecting specific parks. You can help with fundraising, recruiting volunteers, leading restoration projects, and providing educational programming.

Stewardship events: Join others to collectively remove invasives species, learn plant identification, and see rare ecosystems.

Friends groups: You can be part of a group that protects certain parks. You could be involved in fundraising, recruiting volunteers, leading restoration projects, and providing educational programming.

Belle Isle Conservancy: Volunteer by greeting visitors, planting flowers, and keeping paths clean.
