Fletcher Elementary School is nestled in the mountains of western North Carolina and is one of thirteen elementary schools in Henderson County Public Schools. We have a proud history in the Fletcher community and we are grateful for all the support we receive from our students, parents, staff, and community partners. Today, our first graders wrapped up their Fables in CKLA with a fun and engaging Fable Fair! 🎉 Students participated in activities inspired by the fables they’ve been learning about, bringing the stories to life through hands-on learning, games, and creative activities.

It was the perfect way to celebrate all the learning, reading, and hard work our first graders have put into this unit! 📚

It’s almost time for our first Fox Den! 🦊💙

Our Foxes will have the chance to shop Fletcher’s very own school store on Friday, September 18th! Students can choose from fun items priced from $0.25–$5.00 with help from our amazing volunteers.

💵 This is a CASH ONLY event! Please send money with your child that morning in a labeled envelope or baggie.

BIG NEWS, Fletcher Families! We’re officially a B school! 🎉

We are incredibly proud to share our 2025–2026 Accountability Results: Fletcher Elementary improved our NC School Report Card grade from a C to a B AND met expected growth! 🎉📈

In parent terms, our letter grade reflects how well students are performing academically, while meeting growth means our students made the academic progress expected of them throughout the year. Moving from a C to a B is a HUGE accomplishment!

But this data represents so much more than numbers. It represents our incredible teachers and staff who work tirelessly every day to grow kids—meeting students where they are, providing support, celebrating progress, and believing in every Fox.

We are SO PROUD of our students and the amazing staff behind their success! We grew. We improved. We moved UP. And that’s something to B PROUD of! 💙🧡

Our Safety Patrol leaders are stepping up each morning to monitor hallway behavior and help our Foxes get safely to class. We’re so proud of these students for taking on this important leadership role and helping make Fletcher a safe and welcoming place for everyone! 🦊💙🧡

🥞 Flapjacks & Flannel in 2nd Grade!

Our second graders celebrated the end of their Fairy Tale and Tall Tale unit with a day full of learning and fun! Students wrote about their wishes while snacking on “magic” fish, drew Paul Bunyan using perspective, skip counted by 5s across the frontier with Babe the Blue Ox, and enjoyed different versions of fairy tales read by special guest readers.

Of course, no Flapjacks & Flannel Day would be complete without ending with a flapjack snack! What a fun way to bring learning to life!
