The countdown is on! This Saturday, September 19, Bill Moore Community Park will be the place to be for an afternoon and evening of food, music, shopping, kids’ activities, and FIREWORKS! 🎆

Here’s what’s happening:

🚚 Food Trucks | Starting at 2:00 PM
🎶 Tracy Davis | 2:30–4:30 PM
🎈 Kids’ Zone | Opens at 3:00 PM
🎸 The Showboat Band | 5:30–7:30 PM
🎆 Fireworks | 7:45 PM or dusk

Come early, grab some food, browse the vendors, let the kids have some fun, and enjoy the live music before we finish the evening with a spectacular fireworks show! 🍁🎆

🐶 A quick reminder: Please leave pets at home. The large crowds, activities, and fireworks can be overwhelming for our four-legged friends.

The Fletcher Community Chorus is getting ready for its Fall/Winter concert season, and rehearsals begin Thursday, September 17! 🍂🎵

Whether you’re a longtime singer or simply enjoy making music with others, this is a great opportunity to get involved in our community.

🧹 Help Us Keep Fletcher Beautiful! Volunteers Needed! 🧹

The Town of Fletcher is looking for volunteers to join us for our Fall Litter Sweep on Saturday, September 26, from 9:00–11:00 AM.

In conjunction with the NCDOT Fall Litter Sweep, volunteers will help pick up litter along designated NCDOT-maintained roads in Fletcher. It’s an easy way to spend a couple of hours giving back and helping keep our community clean! 💚

🍎 The NC Apple Festival may be behind us, but fall fun in Henderson County is just getting started! 🍂

Now it’s time to turn our attention to one of Fletcher’s biggest community events of the year - the annual Fall Family Festival! 🎃🎆

Join us at Bill Moore Community Park on Saturday, September 19 for an afternoon and evening packed with something for the whole family!

🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day from the Town of Fletcher! 🇺🇸

Today, we recognize and celebrate the hard work and contributions of workers throughout our community and across the country.

A special thank you to the Town of Fletcher employees who work each day to serve our residents and keep our community running. 💚

We hope everyone has a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable Labor Day!

As a reminder, Fletcher Town Hall is closed today and will reopen tomorrow during normal business hours.

Fletcher Town Hall will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

🚛 Trash & Recycling Collection Update:
Residents with a regular Monday collection schedule will receive service on Tuesday, September 8.

Please keep this schedule change in mind as you make plans for the holiday weekend.

♻️ Household Hazardous Waste Collection – This Saturday! ♻️

Doing a little end-of-summer cleanup? Henderson County’s next Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event is this Saturday, August 29.

Now is a great time to gather those household items that shouldn’t go in your regular trash:

🧪 Chemicals & cleaners
🌱 Pesticides & fertilizers
⛽ Gasoline – 5-gallon limit per resident
🎨 Paint – $5 per gallon, regardless of how full (30-gallon limit per resident)

📅 Saturday, August 29
⏰ 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
📍 Old Activity Building Entrance – between the Convenience Center and Transfer Station. Signs will be posted.

This service is available to Henderson County residents, including Fletcher residents.

PAWS for Reading – Children can practice their reading skills with a certified therapy dog! Registration is required.

💻 The library also offers free one-on-one Tech Time appointments for help with smartphones, tablets, e-books, digital audiobooks, Hoopla, NC Digital Library, and other technology.
