Raritan Township Office of Emergency Management will be at the Parade!

🇺🇸 Reminder: Hunterdon County’s 250th Celebration Parade is Today! Sunday June 14th!🇺🇸

Join us in Flemington Borough Today! Sunday, June 14th as Hunterdon County celebrates America’s 250th with a parade down Main Street!

📍 Parade Location: Main Street, Flemington
🕑 Parade Start Time: 2:00 PM
🚧 Road Closure Information:
• 12:00 PM: Road closures will begin on the north end of Main Street
• 1:00 PM: All of Main Street and connecting streets will be closed
• Roads will remain closed until the end of the parade

Please plan ahead, arrive early, and allow extra time for parking and travel through the Borough.

Raritan Township will have a Cooling Center open at the Township Administration Building today from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

The hottest heat indices so far this year are expected today, topping out near 100° this afternoon in most areas. Near record breaking highs in the low to mid 90s. A Heat Advisory remains in effect through Friday for portions of the area, as similarly hot and humid conditions are expected again on Friday.

Similar to Wednesday, scattered storms are forecast to develop late afternoon/evening. However the risk of severe storms will be greater today, with damaging winds as the main threat. See less

Another hot one today with highs in the upper 80s/low 90s. We are expecting some showers and thunderstorms to move in this evening. A few storms will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, especially for areas along and north/west of the I-95 corridor. Stay safe!

Based on today’s weather forecast, the Memorial Day Parade will continue as scheduled at 10:00 AM.

Following the parade, we invite the community to gather at the monument for our Memorial Day Service as we pause together to honor and remember the courageous men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Thank you to everyone participating, attending, and helping us uphold this meaningful tradition. We look forward to seeing our community come together in remembrance and gratitude. ❤️
