The Hunterdon County 911 Communications Center is currently experiencing a Brightspeed phone outage affecting many police department and administrative phone lines. If the public attempts to contact their municipal police department and are met with a busy signal, they should hang up and dial 908-806-5817 to reach the dispatch center. This number should also be used by our partner agencies attempting to reach the dispatcher center for any needs. The 911 and Text-to-911 systems remain fully operational. The outage is affecting the Center's ability to receive reports from alarm companies (police, fire, & medical related alarm activations). We are attempting to work as expeditiously as possible with Brightspeed who needs to execute continuity of operations procedures on their infrastructure.

Sunday Evening Update: We aren't finished with the round of showers this evening, but wanted to provide a heads up about the next round of showers and storms Monday and Monday night. Heavy rain leading to localized flooding and gusty winds will be possible with stronger storms.

As for the timing, while we could see showers and storms as early as mid Monday afternoon and linger as late as Tuesday morning, the prime period of concern for the flooding threat is from early Monday evening through the early overnight period (roughly 6 PM to 2 AM).
