There’s still time to register! Join us Friday, September 18 for our 2026 Hay Production Field Day.

Schedule:
⏰10am-10:50am: Registration & Visit Vendors
⏰11am-2pm: Educational Programming (Free Lunch served at 12)

We’ll hear from our University topic specialists on a variety of topics, including: alfalfa establishment, w**d control strategies, hay types, hay quality, and calibrating a no-till drill (this satisfies the training for Fleming County farm owners to rent the Fleming County no-till drill).

Thursday, September 10, Katie Fryman (Fleming County Extension - Family & Consumer Sciences ) and myself hosted 2 fall wreath classes utilizing corn leaves, husks, corn, and tassels as the base. The participants were able to add their special touches of bows and other decor that they furnished.

Thank you to all that attended. We had a fun day getting ready for the fall.

• Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) provides financial and technical assistance to help address resource concerns with structural, vegetative, and management practices.

• Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) rewards producers for existing conservation and supports enhancements that take their stewardship to the next level.

Reach out to your local NRCS office or Conservation District to discuss which program best fits your operation.

Two fall sessions of the Beef Cattle Artificial Insemination and Pregnancy Determination School are now open.

Hands-on training with Dr. Les Anderson at the C. Oran Little Research Farm in Versailles.

October 6–7 or October 20–21
10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. both days, lunch provided
$400 per person, must be 16 or older
