As EMS Week comes to a close, we can't help but shout out a big THANK YOU to all of our brothers and sisters in service.
As EMS Week 2026 comes to a close, I just want to say thank you to every EMT, advance, paramedic, flight crew, volunteer, supervisor, and support staff member who answers the call no matter the time, weather, or circumstances.
You show up on people’s worst days with compassion, strength, and professionalism. You carry memories, stress, heartbreak, and responsibility that most people will never fully understand. Yet every shift, you continue to serve your communities and each other.
As this week ends, take a moment to reflect on your own mental health.
Not every wound is visible.
Not every hard call stays at the scene.
And being strong does not mean carrying everything alone.
Check on your coworkers. Talk to someone you trust. Take care of your sleep, your family, your mind, and your heart. The same compassion you give to patients every day is something you deserve too.
Remember:
You cannot pour from an empty cup.
It’s okay to not be okay.
And asking for help is never weakness — it is survival.
Thank you for the sacrifices you make, the lives you touch, and the difference you continue to make every single day.
Stay safe. Stay strong. Take care of each other.
Happy EMS Week 2026 💙🚑
