We hope to see you tomorrow at our Metroparks Learning Program at Barnes Elementary. If it's going to rain, we will be in the gym so please park in the back lot. PreK-1st grade students at 4:15 p.m. for Shells, Scales, and Polliwog Tails. Grades 2-5 at 5:30 p.m. for Cold Blooded Creatures.

Flat Rock Community Schools is excited to announce that Nichole Sturdy has been selected as the next principal of Bobcean Elementary!

A graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Mrs. Sturdy began her educational career with Lake Shore Public Schools before joining Flat Rock Community Schools in 2005. During her time in FRCS, she served as a 5th grade teacher, middle school ELA teacher, ELA instructional coach, and Bobcean behavior interventionist. Throughout each role, she built strong relationships with students, families, and staff while demonstrating a commitment to academic excellence and student success.

After earning her administrative degree, Mrs. Sturdy continued her leadership journey as a Student Support Coordinator at Workman Elementary in Plymouth-Canton Community Schools. There, she further developed her skills as an instructional leader and advocate for students.

Now, we are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Sturdy back to Flat Rock Community Schools as the new principal of Bobcean Elementary. Her deep roots in our district, passion for education, and dedication to creating positive learning environments make her an outstanding fit to lead Bobcean into its next chapter.

Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Sturdy and welcoming her back to the Ram family! We know she will do great things for our students, staff, and community.

Be on the lookout this August for a special "Popsicles with the Principal" event where families can meet Mrs. Sturdy and help us kick off an exciting new school year at Bobcean!
