Smoke testing is done. We found a few areas to investigate more, but all the sewer lines are all flowing properly. A big thank you to Midwest Assistance Program for coming down and providing this service.

Notice to Residents: Sanitary Sewer Smoke Testing May 26, 2026.

• The smoke used is safe and odorless, though it may have a slight smoky smell. It will not harm people, pets, or plants.
• Smoke should clear quickly once testing is complete.
• If smoke enters your home or building, it may indicate a problem with plumbing traps, venting, or sewer connections.
• To help prevent smoke from entering your building, please pour water into floor drains, sinks, tubs, and any seldom used plumbing fixtures before testing begins.

What to Do During Testing
• Do not call 911 or the Fire Department unless you believe there is an actual fire. Both departments will be notified of the testing in advance.
• If smoke enters your home and does not clear within a few minutes, ventilate the area by opening windows or doors.
• Residents with respiratory issues may choose to be away from the property during testing, although this is not required.

Residents: The water is back on for the South West corner. Thanks to the awesome crew who worked quickly into the night to get it fixed.

Make sure to run your water for a period of time to get any air bubbles out.
