As we move into summer with longer daylight and more outdoor activities, we want to share the City's established 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐰 𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟕.

Under 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 §𝟏𝟑𝟎.𝟓𝟎, it is unlawful for minors under the age of 17 to be in public places or unsupervised areas during the following hours:

This includes being in or on streets, parks, public buildings, vacant lots, places or entertainment, and other public or unsupervised areas.

There are exceptions, including:
✔ Being accompanied by a parent/guardian
✔ Traveling to or from work
✔ Attending or returning from school, church, or supervised youth/recreation activities
✔ Emergency situations
✔ Certain lawful errands or activities directed by a parent/guardian without any detour or stops

The City of Flandreau's 2026 Chip Seal Project begins tomorrow morning, Wednesday, May 27th, weather permitting.

⚠️ 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐯𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐛𝐲 𝟓:𝟎𝟎 𝐀𝐌 𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠. Vehicles remaining on designated streets after that time are subject to removal.

Crews will complete the chip seal application tomorrow, with fog sealing scheduled for the following day. Residents are asked to avoid parking on affected streets until all work is completed, including completion of the fog seal on 5/28/26.

El Proyecto de Sellado de Calles 2026 de la Ciudad de Flandreau comenzará mañana por la mañana, miércoles 27 de mayo, si el clima lo permite.

⚠️ 𝐓𝐎𝐃𝐎𝐒 𝐥𝐨𝐬 𝐯𝐞𝐡𝐢́𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐛𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐬 𝐝𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐬 𝟓:𝟎𝟎 𝐀𝐌 𝐝𝐞 𝐦𝐚ñ𝐚𝐧𝐚. Los vehículos que permanezcan en las calles designadas después de esa hora podrán ser removidos.

Se pide a los residentes que eviten estacionarse en las calles afectadas hasta que todo el trabajo haya sido completado, incluyendo la finalización del “fog seal” el 28/05/26.

The 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐮 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 would like to remind residents of City Ordinance 632 regarding wheeled, electrically propelled devices, including electric scooters and electric bicycles.

For everyone's safety:
🛑 Riders must obey all traffic signs and stop signs
➡️ Riders must follow the same traffic laws as bicycles
🚴🏼 Riders under 18 are required to wear a helmet when operating or riding on these devices
🕶️ Eye protection is required when operating over 20 mph

As the use of electric scooters and bikes continues to grow in our community, we ask everyone to ride responsibly and safely.

✔ Be cautious of urgent requests. Scammers often pressure you to act quickly.

✔ Verify before you trust. Hang up and call back using a number you know is legitimate (not the number they called you from).

✔ Don't click suspicious links. These can install malware or steal your information.

✔ Never share personal or financial information with unexpected contacts.
