The City of Flandreau will have another emergency shut off in the water and sewer project area today beginning at 12:00pm. We’re hoping to have service restored around 4:00 pm if all goes according to plan. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as crews work through these issues. This puppy was found at a residence on S Wind St, with a collar but no tags. If you know the owner, or have any information, please contact the Moody County Sheriffs Office. Possible Belgian Malinois or German Shepard

We are excited to welcome Officer Brandon Goff to the Flandreau PD! Brandon is a recent graduate of Lake Area Tech. He has earned an Associates Degree in Law Enforcement and has completed their reciprocity program. Brandon was sworn in yesterday, and has already began his Field Training. Please welcome Brandon to the community as he begins his Law Enforcement career with us!

We are excited to welcome Officer Ian Parra to the Flandreau Police Department! Officer Parra is a recent graduate of Lake Area Technical College. Officer Parra has completed their reciprocity program and graduated with an Associates Degree in Law Enforcement. Officer Parra will be familiar face to many in our community. The Flandreau Police Department is accepting applications for a full- time police officer. Starting pay is $24.99 to $27.77 per hour for a certified officer. Benefits include SDRS, health, vision and dental insurance. Officers work 12 hr. shifts with every other weekend off. Requirements include passing score on written exam, interview and background investigation.

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, possess a valid driver’s license, have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, and be 21 years old at time of hire. Year to date, the Police Department has had 96 calls for service compared to 81 for the same period last year (+15).
