Our work doesn’t stop at the school doors.

During 2025–2026, CIS invested $16,840 directly in community involvement and student enrichment while also helping coordinate and distribute $60,302 in donated resources for students and families.

From community programs to donated resources, these partnerships help us meet needs wherever they arise.

Because supporting students often means supporting the community around them. 💙

Sometimes a simple message can reach a student at exactly the right time.

Dana Dunn, our CIS Site Coordinator at Ben Hill Middle School, is making sure students see an important reminder throughout their school day: you matter, you have value, and help is always available.

STEM learning in action at Ben Hill Primary!

Kindergarten students put science into motion today as they learned about push and pull using kites donated through our Walmart partnership!

This was just the first class to take flight, with more Kindergarten classes getting their turn throughout the week.

We love seeing Walmart donations turned into fun, hands-on learning opportunities for our students!

It is paint our town gold today! We will meet in front of the chamber at 6:30 to put out our bows for childhood cancer awareness month. If you are a shorty bring you a small step stool. Also don’t forget you can purchase your own gold bow at the chamber for $10. Dana Smith Dunn

A lot can happen in one school year.

During 2025–2026, Communities In Schools provided $539,212 in total school partnership value across six school partnerships.

That work included individualized support for 254 case-managed students and basic-needs support reaching 2,400+ students.

Behind every number is a student, a family, a school and a community of support. 💙

Sometimes our students say it better than we ever could. 💙

99% of students surveyed said their CIS Site Coordinator cares about them.

For some students, that means help with grades or attendance. For others, it means having someone to talk to on a hard day. Sometimes it simply means knowing there is an adult at school who will check in and ask, “Are you okay?”

That's what being present looks like.
