This week, Fitchburg is proudly represented in Washington, D.C. during National Police Week as Officer Newell joins law enforcement motorcycle units from across the country in honoring the fallen and supporting surviving families.

His days began at “Eagles Nest,” a United States Park Police hangar, where officers gathered before conducting ceremonial escorts for survivors, friends, and families arriving in D.C. for National Police Week events.

From standing alongside hundreds of fellow motor officers to representing our community in front of the White House, these moments serve as a powerful reminder of the unity, honor, and remembrance shared throughout this week.

We are proud to have Fitchburg represented during this meaningful tradition honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.
