The results are in, and while they weren't what I had hoped, I can honestly say I've enjoyed the experience. Thank you to all of you who have supported me over the past month and a half, and to everyone I met out on the campaign trail. I have learned a lot about this community over the past several weeks, and I will continue to do what I can to make Fitchburg a great place to live and work!

I have already written to congratulate Julia Arata-Fratta and Roger Backes on their performance tonight, but I will do so here, too. Congratulations, and good luck in April!

Tuesday, February 17, is the big day! If you live in Fitchburg's District 2, please brave the cold and vote at Fire Station #1, 5791 Lacy Road! Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.!

Attended tonight's mayoral debate at the Senior Center. It was very interesting, with clear differences among the three candidates who participated.

The State Journal has published candidate Q&A for District 2, Seat 3 online (I assume it will be in the hard copy Thursday)!

Three candidates are seeking Seat 3 in the 2nd District on the Fitchburg City Council. The primary election is Feb. 17.

Watched "42nd Street" on TCM while exercising tonight. Seeing it again brought back great memories of acting and pretending to tap dance in both the VAHS and VACT stage productions - in 1996 and 2007, respectively. VACT is a huge asset to the area, and it's been a privilege to participate in it for 20 years and counting!

Another great day of doors, this time in my own stomping grounds of Wildwood! Finished not a moment too soon, too - stay safe on the roads tomorrow!

Conversations I had with voters today covered a range of issues, including how the city handles leaf collection, what (if anything) the city should do to promote green energy, whether the city or the county should be responsible for maintaining PD/McKee Road, and, above all, taxes. Meeting with voters has given me a lot to think about!

Fun fact for the day: With around 6300 residents, Fitchburg's District 2 is larger than three Wisconsin counties - Menominee, Florence, and Iron.
