Congratulations to Detective Betley on his promotion to Director of the Practical Skills Program at the Cadet Police Academy and to Sgt. Hallbauer on his well earned retirement.

15 years ago, Sergeant Hallbauer developed and began directing the Practical Skills Program (PSP). Through his leadership, dedication, and commitment, he has helped make PSP the successful program it is today.
Over the years, Sergeant Hallbauer has touched the lives of thousands of cadets who have gone through PSP, many of whom have gone on to become police officers and serve their communities.
Today, we congratulate Sergeant Hallbauer on his well-earned retirement and thank him for the lasting impact he has made on PSP and the many cadets whose lives he has influenced.
At last night’s Cadet Academy meeting, Assistant Director Betley was promoted to Director, and DI Coach was promoted to Assistant Director.
We look forward to continuing the tradition of excellence and success that Sergeant Hallbauer built and seeing PSP continue to grow for many years to come.

The Town of Fishkill Police Department extends our deepest condolences to the Town of Newburgh Police Department on the loss of one of their detectives.

Town of Fishkill Police share a deep connection with the Town of Newburgh Police as many of our officers have been members of that agency and our agencies have worked many cases together.

Our thoughts and prayers are with their department, the detective’s family, friends, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

We are heartbroken to hear of Glenn's passing.
Glenn was a true gentleman who loved the Fishkill community and would have given the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. His kindness, generosity, and willingness to always lend a hand touched so many lives.
Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences are with his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of compassion and service will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Glenn. 💙

For over 50 years the residents of the Town Fishkill put their faith in Glenn Scofield and over those 5+ decades Glenn faithfully and dutifully served the Town of Fishkill. He was the true embodiment of what a public servant should be…honorable, kind, trustworthy, and always up to the challenge. We lost a giant today, a pillar of our community. Our thoughts and prayers are with Glenn’s family during this difficult time. Rest in Peace Superintendent.
