From 4;15-5:00 pm "Littlest Listeners" with Peg Donovan of the Connecticut Storytelling Center will use rhythm, rhyme and audience participation to guide your child on a whimsical word journey. Then from 5:30-6:30pm Tim Weiner, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author of 'Enemies: A History of the FBI' will discuss and take questions on his recent books.

Got DVDs? Have your kids grown up? Are you almost over your Will Smith phase? Maybe its time to edit your DVD collection! The Fishers Island Library is trying to expand its current DVD holdings. As DVDs are a very popular item, your donations will go a long way in helping us increase our offerings. Simply leave your gently used DVDs on the porch and we will promise them a good home. Double duty and something for everyone at the library this Tuesday, July 16 -- from 4:15pm-5:15pm for our "Littlest Listeners" program, Peg Donovan of Connecticut Storytelling Center will use rhythm and rhyme and audience participation to guide children on a whimsical word journey. Then from 5:30p.m.-6:30p.m., shipwright Maggie Wright will do a slide show on her work restoring the Charles W. Morgan whaling ship of Mystic Seaport as part of the Peter Brinckerhoff Nautical Lecture.

Join us for our Adult Program tomorrow, Tuesday, July 9, for visiting author Peter Matthiessen Wheelwright from 5:30-6:30p.m. Wheelwright is the acclaimed author of "As It Is On Earth". He will read from his book and discuss his work. Peter grew up spending summers on Fishers.
