Due to the gas explosion near Willow River, some residents may be without gas.

MN Energy says it could be out hours to days before restored.

The Muni is closed due to this as well.

They are aware of this and working in the area to get all of you up and running.

Reminder: Hydrant Flushing today!

🚰 Hydrant Flushing Scheduled – October 6–17 🚰

The City of Finlayson will be conducting routine hydrant flushing throughout the city October 6–17.

This important maintenance helps ensure reliable water service by removing sediment and verifying hydrants are functioning properly.

What You Need to Know:
*You may notice temporary water discoloration. This is normal and not harmful.
*If your water is discolored, run cold water for a few minutes until it clears.
*Please avoid doing laundry during flushing in your area to prevent staining.
*Some areas may experience temporary pressure fluctuations.

We appreciate your patience as we complete this work to keep our water system safe and reliable.

*Reminder* If (when) you see the hydrants running, it's part of the process this week!

🚰 Notice to City of Finlayson Water Customers 🚰
The City’s water tower will be temporarily shut down starting Tuesday, September 23 for required maintenance and water quality testing.

🔹 What to expect:
*Water service will remain available.
*Measures are in place to maintain system pressure.
*You may notice hydrants running (on each side of town) as part of the process. This is normal and helps maintain proper flow.
*Water will be flushed into ditches during this period.

🔹 Timeline:
***The shutdown is expected to last up to three days while water samples are tested.
Testing requires results submitted 24 hours apart, which may extend the duration.
We do not anticipate significant changes to your water service.

The City of Finlayson is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to serve as our next City Clerk. This vital position is responsible for managing city records, supporting the City Council, coordinating elections, providing customer service at City Hall, and overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations of the city.

We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to serve the community. Strong communication, recordkeeping, and computer skills are essential. Previous municipal experience is preferred and administrative experience is required.
