Hancock County Emergency Management Agency-Ohio The EMA maintains the County All-Hazards Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) and keeps the county's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in a state of readiness.

Hancock County EMA, under the direction of the Hancock County Commissioners and in partnership with all Hancock County political entities, assists local officials and first responders in the planning, response, recovery and mitigation of natural and man-made disasters and large scale emergencies. We are here to serve the citizens of Hancock County and surrounding areas.

Update: Ramps are back open per ODOT

Today is the day! I75 SB exit ramp at US68/Lima Ave and I75 NB Exit 68/Lima Ave are closed .... if you miss the I75 Flyover SB exit your next exit is 10+ miles at SR 235.
This is a 1 day planned closure

Detour: Continue south to SR 235, to I-75 north, back to U.S. 68/SR 15

Up to an enhanced risk (level 3 of 5) of severe t-storms exists today. A disturbance may trigger isolated severe storms in NE OH and NW PA late this afternoon, before a strong cold front likely triggers scattered severe storms later this afternoon into the evening in northern OH and NW PA. Stay Weather Aware and have a way to get warnings and alerts on your phone!

*THIS IS AN EXERCISE* Multi Agency Safety Training Drill Today: 3/20/26 at Cory Rawson Schools

Cory-Rawson Local Schools will be conducting a multi-agency safety training drill on today March 20, 2026. There will be no school for students.
Community members may notice an increased presence of law enforcement, fire, and EMS personnel and vehicles on and around campus throughout the day. This is only a training exercise and there is no threat to the public.

Today kicks off Severe Weather Awareness Week and Flood Safety Awareness Week in Ohio! This is a good opportunity to make a plan for severe weather.

South winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected in the advisory area today and tonight. Gusts up to 60 mph will occur in Erie County PA where a High Wind Warning has been issued. Gusty winds will continue Monday when southwest to west wind gusts could reach 45 mph.
