What a fantastic Field Day at Whittier Elementary School! ☀️🏃‍♂️💦

A huge THANK YOU to the students from Donnell Middle School who volunteered their time to help run stations, encourage our students, and keep the fun going all day long. Your leadership, patience, and energy helped make today so special for our kids!

Our students had an amazing day filled with games, teamwork, laughter, and lots of sunshine. We are so grateful to everyone who helped make the day a success. We have a feeling there will be some very tired kiddos tonight!

Today was one of those days that fills our heart. ☀️🧺❤️

Lunch on the Lawn brought sunshine, picnic blankets, yummy food, smiling families, and all the end-of-year feels. Thank you to everyone who came, shared this special time with us, and also stopped by to support our book fair. These moments and memories mean so much! 📚✨

Please know that parking is very limited, and you may need to park in the neighborhood. We kindly ask that you be considerate of our neighbors and plan to arrive a little early to ensure you have time to park and make it to your child’s lunch on time.

Good morning, families! ☀️💙💛

At Whittier Primary School, we believe school should be more than reading, writing, and math… it should be a place where children feel seen, celebrated, challenged, and loved. Every single day, our staff works hard to help students learn what it means to be leaders, problem-solvers, kind friends, and the very best version of themselves.

One of the ways we support that growth is through PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports). Across our school, students are recognized and celebrated for making positive choices, showing kindness, working hard, being responsible, and lifting others up. Whether it’s earning special rewards, school experiences, Tommy Bucks, book vending machine coins, or those little moments of recognition that make a child walk a little taller… PBIS helps us celebrate the good happening all around Whittier Primary School every day.

And wow… your children have grown. Not just academically, but socially, emotionally, and as little humans. We get a front-row seat to that growth, and we hope you’ve seen it at home, too. 💙

Cue the proud teacher tears… the Whittier Primary School 2nd Grade Wax Museum was AMAZING! From historical figures to famous celebrities, our students brought their characters to life with confidence, creativity, and impressive speeches. The turnout was incredible, and our students absolutely beamed while sharing their hard work with family and friends. Thank you for helping make this event so special!

A huge thank you to our PTO and Mrs. Bauman for continuing to celebrate and spoil our staff this Teacher Appreciation Week—from trail mix to tote bags to coffee from Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee. We feel incredibly lucky to be part of this school community. ☕️✨
