Heads Up Fincastle residents and visitors:

We got the word yesterday from VDOT that paving and milling are scheduled to begin next week, starting MONDAY, September 14, 2026 on the east side of Route 220 in historic Fincastle. "No Street Parking" from 7 am to 7 pm signs have been posted throughout town.

Adams Paving will try to work around bus schedules, and will knock on doors if vehicles are parked on the street when crews arrive.If you park in a gravel area next to the pavement, please move your vehicle at least three feet away from the street.

Streets closest to the Courthouse construction area will not be paved until that project is complete.

Please help us spread the word so everyone is prepared!

The annual Town of Fincastle fireworks display will be held on Sunday, July 5 at Breckinridge Elementary School at dark (approximately 9 to 915 pm). The VFW will be selling hotdogs and snacks starting at 6 pm. Also, Grandpa Ike's will be selling mobile desserts, and there will also be a kettle korn vendor on site! 🎉🎊👍💫🌟

Its Christmas time in Fincastle!

This Friday, December 5 marks the opening of the Tinsel Trail.

Saturday, December 6 is our annual Christmas Parade, which lines up at 1 pm at Breckenridge Elementary, and steps off at 2pm.
