Today we had a very special guest administrator on campus — our Student Principal for the Day! 🎉 As the winner of our Open House raffle, he spent the day helping with important school responsibilities, visiting classrooms, greeting students and staff, and learning what it takes to help lead a school. He did an amazing job showing leadership, responsibility, and school spirit throughout the day!

A huge thank you to the City of Fillmore and the Public Works Department for visiting Rio Vista Elementary and teaching our youngest Roadrunners, TK–2nd grade students, about the many important jobs that help keep our community running smoothly!

Students enjoyed hands-on demonstrations, learning about the different equipment used by Public Works crews, and seeing how it all works to serve our city each day. We appreciate the time and care taken to make this a fun and engaging learning experience for our students!

Congratulations to our Rio Vista Mathletes, the "Pi-thons", on being the only team to represent Fillmore Unified School District in the Ventura County Math Competition today. Our 4th Grade Team took 6th place overall! We are so proud of them for their hard work and representing our school!

Our College & Career Day was an incredible experience for our students! 🎓
We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our local businesses and college representatives for joining us and investing in our students’ futures. Your time and engagement made a meaningful impact. Students had a blast completing their scavenger hunt and visiting each booth, where they picked up fun items and learned about different career paths and opportunities.
