VFW Auxiliary Department of Washington We are a voice for veterans on Capitol Hill and are instrumental in assisting the VFW pass or block legislation that impacts veterans and their families.

Members are volunteers in the name of Veterans to instill a sense of patriotism & pride within our community Our members have direct family relationship to a Veteran & consistently reach out to assist with the needs of Military, Veterans, and Families. Auxiliaries who volunteer millions of hours and give millions of dollars to support veterans, military service personnel, and their families. We are one of the top ten providers of volunteer hours in the VA Medical system..Every year, members fund-raise millions of dollars for charitable projects that benefit veterans and their families. We also provide hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships for our nation's youth.With more than 4,000 Auxiliaries, there is likely one in your area working to improve the lives of America's uncommon heroes.

Read this ! Your veteran could be affected by theses changes, and therefore it could affect you and your family. Take action! Tell Congress to HONOR THE CONTRACT!

‼️ Action Alert‼️

Congress is considering legislation that would expand some veterans' programs by changing disability ratings for tinnitus and obstructive sleep apnea.

According to VA estimates, those changes could affect up to 1.5 million veterans and reduce disability compensation by approximately $57 billion over the next 10 years.

Veterans should not pay for veterans' benefits.
