Good morning, Washington State military members, veterans, and incredible family supporters!

Rise and shine, warriors and loved ones, today is the day we come together again for our beloved 13th Annual Labor of Love, The Veterans Resource Fair at the Tacoma Dome!

From the bottom of my heart, I want you to feel the fire and excitement I have for this event. For thirteen straight years, I’ve been right there with you, shoulder to shoulder, soaking in the energy of this powerful community.

Even though I can’t be there in person today, know that I’m standing with you in spirit, cheering louder than ever, and already counting down the days until we reunite in 2027 for the 14th annual celebration!

I am bursting with pride and complete confidence in the phenomenal Team Nineline stepping up today. They’re bringing that signature Nineline heart, kind, loving, veteran-driven fun and turning this day into a true celebration of unity. This isn’t just a resource fair… this is our community lifting each other up, veterans serving veterans and families, just as you’ve served us all.

Every booth, every handshake, every smile, every connection made today is proof of what we can achieve when we stand together. This Labor of Love is built by veterans, powered by families, and dedicated to making real, positive change in the lives of those who’ve sacrificed so much.

So let’s make today unforgettable! Laugh loud, connect deeply, share stories, grab resources, and celebrate the unbreakable bond we all share.
Thank you to every veteran, service member, family member, partner, and supporter who makes this event possible. Together, we are stronger. Together, we are Nineline.

Welcome to the 13th Annual Labor of Love!
Let’s make it legendary!

“On this Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.
Their courage, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to freedom will never be forgotten. Because of them, we stand here today grateful, free, and forever in their debt. 🇺🇸

At Nineline Veteran Services, we carry their legacy forward by supporting the veterans who returned home. Through transitional housing, peer support, case management, job readiness, and VA claims assistance, we help our brothers and sisters rebuild, heal, and thrive.

Today, we remember the fallen. Every day, we serve the living. If you or a veteran you know needs support, reach out. You’re not alone.”

We at Nineline Veteran Services are proud to stand with the AMVETS Department of Washington, AMVETS National Headquarters, and the Veterans Memorial Museum on this exciting new Memorandum of Understanding.

This partnership officially launches our second collaborative Veteran Service Office (VSO) in Lewis County, significantly expanding our ability to serve Veterans across Washington State.

Through this MOU:

• NineLine Veteran Service Officers are now fully accredited by AMVETS National and the VA Office of General Counsel (OGC).

• Our team can directly assist Veterans with preparing and submitting VA benefits claims and provide full representation throughout the appeals process.

• All services remain completely free to Veterans and fully compliant with VA regulations and AMVETS standards.

This second location in Lewis County builds directly on the success of our first office and demonstrates our continued commitment to closing service gaps where they matter most. With administrative support from NineLine Veteran Services and the Veterans Memorial Museum, and strong coordination from the AMVETS Department of Washington, we are making high-quality, accredited VA claims assistance more accessible than ever for our Veterans in rural and underserved communities.

We extend our deepest thanks to AMVETS Department Commander Rachel Murphy, Judge Advocate Chuck Wharton, and the entire AMVETS Washington team for their leadership and partnership. Special appreciation goes to our NineLine team Erin Cooper, Sean Contreras — and to Kristi Popenoe and Brianna Smith at the Veterans Memorial Museum for their dedication and hard work to make this second office a reality.

Veterans Helping Veterans now with even greater reach in Washington State. We are ready to serve. If you’re a Veteran in Lewis County or surrounding areas and need assistance with your VA benefits, reach out to us today.

The AMVETS Department of Washington is proud to announce a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) establishing a SECOND collaborative Veteran Service Office (VSO) through a partnership between the Amvets Department of Washington , AMVETS National Headquarters, Nineline Veteran Services and veterans memorial Museum.

Through this partnership:

• NineLine Veteran Service Officers are officially accredited by AMVETS National and the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of General Counsel (OGC).

• This accreditation empowers them to assist Veterans in preparing and submitting VA benefits claims and representing Veterans throughout the VA appeals process.

• All services will fully comply with VA regulations and AMVETS standards, expanding access to the benefits our Veterans have earned.

NineLine Veteran Services and Veterans Memorial Museum will provide administrative funding to support the Veteran Service Officers, while AMVETS National provides national accreditation and oversight. The AMVETS Department of Washington will support local coordination and outreach to ensure Veterans across Washington have increased access to these critical services.

Joining together in celebration of this partnership were AMVETS Department of Washington Department Commander, Judge Advocate, and representatives from NineLine Veteran Services, including Commander Rachel Murphy, Judge Advocate Chuck Wharton, and representatives from NineLine Veteran Services, including Erin Cooper, Sean Contreras, and Veterans Memorial Museum, Kristi Popenoe, and Brianna Smith.

Thank you to Outdoors for our Heroes for inviting us at Nineline Veteran Services to serve as a Gold Sponsor for the OFOH 10th Annual Banquet & Auction.

The event was wonderfully attended and brought together an incredible group of people, businesses, and organizations who support this important mission. The funds raised will help provide guided hunts, fishing trips, outdoor adventures, lodging, meals, equipment, and all the behind-the-scenes support that allows service-connected disabled veterans, active duty members, and first responders to participate without financial burden.

Our Board members, Chief of Futures Development Tony Dayton and Vice President Jesse McAdam, along with Nineline Outreach Manager David Konkler, had a fantastic time connecting with others, sharing stories, and exploring new ways to support those who served and their families.

This event was a true testament to the power of community and the impact of strong partnerships. Thank you again to our friends and partners and the entire OFOH team and their outstanding board for including us in this special celebration.
