The Veterans Resource Fair

The Veterans Resource Fair is an annual Labor of Love, hosted by NineLine Veteran Services supporting over 35,000 military Veterans and their families.

This event is a Labor of Love. It is a idea thought up from a few Veterans that when realized, means a lot of our fellow Veterans and their families will benefit from it. In October 2014, two of us started organizing for this event that we plan to have annually. Looking for a location. And we found it at the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall. Next we started looking for partners to aid our mission. Whos

e friendly. Whose not. Whose willing to work (all on a Volunteer budget) for something that sounds crazy to some, and makes perfect sense to others. Making a Large annual Veterans event that can showcase some of the surrounding resources, services, and fellow friends to our community. We found the Pierce County Veterans Advisory Council, Pierce County Veterans Bureau, and Military Veterans Solutions. Soon after we started having community planning meetings to hear other peoples ideas that wanted to help shape the idea of what this event could be. Planning for a event without a budget, can be difficult. This is why you need passion and zeal from the volunteers to be able to make it happen. And annually we intend to provide our Veterans community of the Puget Sound area (Pierce, King, Kitsap, and Thurston) with a FREE Veterans Resource Fair that will have providers for the following sections:
· Community Services
· VA Benefits
· Legal Services
· Homeless Services/ At Risk
· Educational Benefits
· Medical Screenings and Dental Resources
· Apprenticeship/Training and vocational opportunities/ Jobs
· Female Veterans Resources
· Financial Education/ Assistance
· Housing and home ownership
· Reintegration Services
· Disability Claims/ Benefits

This is a community event that is being put on by Veterans for Veterans and their families. The Veteran Resource Fair is a community partnership between various veteran owned agencies, nonprofits, federal, state, and local county agencies whose aim is to provide an annual and reliable place and event where Pierce, King, Kitsap and Thurston County Veterans and their families can obtain direct connections / information to many different types of veteran specific programs and resources. No one is receiving any salaries, fee's, or anything of that nature from this event. It is being done with the time and sweat of Volunteers, a few unemployed and retired Vet's, and others that care. Good morning, Washington State military members, veterans, and incredible family supporters!

Rise and shine, warriors and loved ones, today is the day we come together again for our beloved 13th Annual Labor of Love, The Veterans Resource Fair at the Tacoma Dome!

From the bottom of my heart, I want you to feel the fire and excitement I have for this event. For thirteen straight years, I’ve been right there with you, shoulder to shoulder, soaking in the energy of this powerful community.

Even though I can’t be there in person today, know that I’m standing with you in spirit, cheering louder than ever, and already counting down the days until we reunite in 2027 for the 14th annual celebration!

I am bursting with pride and complete confidence in the phenomenal Team Nineline stepping up today. They’re bringing that signature Nineline heart, kind, loving, veteran-driven fun and turning this day into a true celebration of unity. This isn’t just a resource fair… this is our community lifting each other up, veterans serving veterans and families, just as you’ve served us all.

Every booth, every handshake, every smile, every connection made today is proof of what we can achieve when we stand together. This Labor of Love is built by veterans, powered by families, and dedicated to making real, positive change in the lives of those who’ve sacrificed so much.

So let’s make today unforgettable! Laugh loud, connect deeply, share stories, grab resources, and celebrate the unbreakable bond we all share.

Tomorrow, Thursday, January 29, 2026, join us at the Fife Community Center (2111 54th Ave E, Fife, WA 98424) for a special opportunity to be counted and connect with support.

We’re partnering with & Pierce County to help with the 2026 Pierce County Homeless Point-in-Time (PIT) Count — a vital annual effort to understand and better address homelessness right here in our county.

If you are:

• Experiencing homelessness
• At-risk of homelessness
• Living in a shelter, vehicle, transitional housing, or unsheltered
• Or just want to share your story and help improve services…

Please come by tomorrow! Your participation is completely voluntary, confidential, and helps secure more funding and resources for housing, shelters, veteran services, and community support.
