Transformation does not happen over night. When other say it is impossible it truly takes a visionary leader to come along and say Watch Me.

While she would never say this about herself, the reason Life On Purpose Detroit works when other programs don't is because we have such a visionary leader in Doris Hage.

A Leader that demonstrates by example everyday how to live into your purpose and push through the adversity along the way.

This isn't magic but it is amazing to witness!

We have so much to share from our biggest Summer Work-Based Learning program to date!

A special thank-you to Karmen Elaine for capturing these moments so beautifully. These photos are only the beginning, and we look forward to sharing more.

This is what happens when a dedicated team comes together around a shared vision.

This summer, our youth produced three major projects for the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge: an immersive AR/VR/XR experience, a full documentary, and a social media campaign that generated our strongest engagement to date.

Their work was so well received that we have some exciting news to share soon!!!!!!!

Reflecting on where we started and the level our youth reached in 2026, we are incredibly proud of their growth, creativity, leadership, and commitment.

Almost quit an outdoor summer job due to nerves. But Mom's call about needing back-to-school money changed everything. Turned out, I made friends, overcame my fear of public speaking, and even launched my first podcast and video ideas. This summer opened me up in ways I never expected.
