A Message From Chief Doyle:

Earlier tonight, while our officers were handling a multi-vehicle accident, a comment was posted from the Ferguson Police Department page in reply to a resident that was disrespectful and completely unacceptable. It does not reflect the values of this department or the men and women who serve here. The comment was removed, but removing it does not undo it. I apologize to the resident it was directed at and to our community. The matter is under internal review and will be handled according to our policies. I take that responsibility personally. As always, please drive safely.

Please be aware of the funeral procession details for the late Mayor Reggie Jones. Plan travel accordingly.

CITY OF DELLWOOD – FUNERAL PROCESSION INFORMATION

Thursday September 3, 2026 Residents are invited to respectfully line West Florissant Avenue, Chambers Road, and nearby public viewing areas as the funeral procession honoring Mayor Reggie Jones travels through Dellwood.

The procession is anticipated to enter the Dellwood area near Keelen Drive and West Florissant between 9:00–9:15 a.m. and travel toward Dellwood City Hall before continuing to New Sunny Mount Baptist Church.

Please expect significant traffic delays and temporary road closures between approximately 9:00–10:00 a.m. and again from 1:00–2:00 p.m.

We encourage residents to arrive early, remain safely out of the roadway, follow all law enforcement directions, and join us in showing our respect for Mayor Jones and his service to our community.

Together, we honor his life, leadership, and legacy.

💙 Today was a good day!!!

Your FPD and Ethical Society of Police - ESOP were joined today by a host of community members to shower the children and family of Shakeela Martin with love and lots of donations from our community back to school drive. The children were so excited to see all of the donations provided by this community! The smiles, the laughter, the tears…thank you to everyone that donated to this family! You are all angels!🫶🏽💙🫶🏽

Today is International Overdose Awareness Day. Did you know that all FPD officers are trained to administer Naloxone (NARCAN) to a person suspected of overdosing? All FPD vehicles are equipped with NARCAN also. The number of calls our department responds to regarding suspected overdosing has increased so having this specialized training and the equipment to save a life is not a convenience--it's an absolute necessity.
