COMMUNITY UPDATE ❄️ Cumberland County NC
📝 Cumberland County and the City of Fayetteville have declared a STATE OF EMERGENCY ahead of a winter storm expected to impact the area this weekend.
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE
🏙️ Mayor Mitch Colvin declared a State of Emergency effective Friday, Jan. 30 at 9:30 a.m.
🗓️ Storm impacts expected Saturday, Jan. 31 through Sunday, Feb. 1
TOWN OF HOPE MILLS
🚨 The Town of Hope Mills has declared a State of Emergency within its corporate limits.
🎮 All Parks and Recreation games, programs, and activities scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 31 are cancelled
🚪 Parks and Recreation Center and all Town parks closed Saturday
🗓️ Hope Mills Area Land Use Plan Steering Committee meeting scheduled for Monday, Feb. 2 is cancelled
📅 Committee will reconvene March 2, 2026
🚒 Special Meeting related to Fire and Police Department overviews scheduled for Monday, Feb. 2 is cancelled
🏛️ Hope Mills Board of Commissioners Meeting scheduled for Monday, Feb. 2 is cancelled
TOWN OF SPRING LAKE
⏰ Town of Spring Lake offices will operate on a two-hour delay Monday, Feb. 2, opening at 10:00 a.m.
📢 Additional updates will be shared Sunday evening through official Town channels
🚓 Emergency Services will operate as normal
🚛 No update at this time regarding GFL Monday service routes
