Captain Ammann & FF/Paramedic Henson teach Fayetteville Recreation Program Camp Counselors CPR & AED Awareness

National CPR & AED Awareness Week

National CPR & AED Awareness Week highlights the lifesaving importance of knowing how to respond during a cardiac emergency. Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere, and immediate action by bystanders can significantly improve survival rates. Training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) gives individuals the confidence and skills needed to recognize an emergency, call for help, provide effective chest compressions, and deliver a potentially lifesaving shock when needed. By increasing awareness and encouraging training, communities become better prepared to save lives before emergency responders arrive. Every minute counts, and CPR and AED training can make the difference between life and death

The MSJ Foundation is a local (Fayetteville) based family foundation which contributes to worthy causes here in Central New York. Fayetteville Fire & EMS is very thankful the Kemper family has been a consistent supporter of our organization. Pictured here are family members Mary Beth, Joe and Steve Kemper in front of an ambulance and equipment which represents their latest contribution. The MSJ Foundation made a multiple year pledge that is helping to provide EMS service with state-of-the-art ambulances and the sophisticated life support equipment necessary to provide advanced care in the prehospital setting. Again, our thanks to the Kemper Family for their ongoing support for, and trust in, our mission.

Happy Mother’s Day from Fayetteville Fire & EMS!

Today we celebrate all the amazing moms, grandmothers, stepmothers, and mother figures who keep our families and communities strong. Your love, sacrifice, patience, and support never go unnoticed.

We especially want to recognize the mothers within our department and the families behind our members — the ones who support late nights, missed holidays, emergency calls, and the commitment to serving others.

Thank you for everything you do each and every day. We hope your day is filled with love, laughter, and time with the people who matter most.

Happy Mother’s Day!
