A Great Day on the Course with Great Friends! 🇺🇸⛳

The Manlius Republican Committee would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who participated in and supported this year’s Golf Tournament!

From the first tee shot to the final putt, the day was filled with friendly competition, great conversations, and plenty of laughs. Most importantly, it was an opportunity to bring together neighbors, community leaders, supporters, and friends who all care deeply about the future of our communities.

Events like this remind us that politics is ultimately about people—building relationships, strengthening community ties, and working together toward common goals. Whether you were golfing, volunteering, sponsoring a hole, or simply stopping by to say hello, your support helped make the day a tremendous success.

A special thank you to our sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who helped organize the event. We couldn’t do it without you.

We also enjoyed a few unexpected visitors along the course—including a local turtle who seemed determined to join the tournament! 🐢⛳

Congratulations to Ed Theobald for County Legislature and his wife on 48 years!

Today, I’m celebrating 48 years of marriage to my wonderful wife, Bridget!

For nearly five decades, Bridget has been by my side through every season of life — the good days, the hard days, the busy days, and everything in between. She has been my steady support, my greatest encourager, and the heart of our family.

I am truly grateful for the life we have built together, the memories we have made, and the love and strength she has given our family over the years. Her kindness, patience, and unwavering support have shaped so much of who I am.

Happy 48th anniversary, Bridget. Thank you for always being there, for believing in me, and for walking through this life with me. I am blessed beyond words to call you my wife.

Thankfully the rain held off so our Town could pause to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.

The Village of Fayetteville began the morning with its 9:00 AM parade followed by a ceremony at Beard Park. We enjoyed excellent performances by the Fayetteville-Manlius Middle School and High School marching bands and heard remarks from Mayor Mike Small, Deputy mayor Mark Matt and Grand Marshal John Goodfellow, who has given so much to our community throughout his many years of service.

Later in the day, parades and ceremonies were also held in the Villages of Manlius and Minoa. We are grateful to the many volunteers, parade committee members, elected officials, participants, and community members who work so hard each year to make these events possible and ensure we continue honoring our nation’s fallen heroes.

May our community never forget the sacrifices made by those in uniform who never made it home.

For over 200 years, it’s welcomed travelers, supported the community (even serving as a hospital during the 1918 pandemic), and remained a staple of this incredible town.

It’s places like this and the people behind them that make Central New York so special.
