Every Mile Matters Transportation Fundraiser

Fayette Senior Services (FSS) is launching our “Every Mile Matters” Transportation Fundraiser on May 1, with a goal of raising $75,000 by July 31 to help bridge a nearly $90,000 funding gap in our transportation program. This is a moment where community support can have a direct and immediate impact, ensuring that no senior is left without a safe, reliable way to get the care they need!
The transportation program at Fayette Senior Services is something that is incredibly important to us, and to the older adults who rely on FSS every single day. For many of the seniors we serve, transportation is far more than a ride, it’s their connection to critical medical care, essential services, and their ability to remain independent. Without it, even routine appointments like dialysis or doctor visits can quickly become out of reach.
Right now, we’re at a pivotal moment. Due to significant federal funding cuts, many of our seniors are experiencing ride costs that have increased dramatically, some even paying up to 5x higher than they were facing just a few months ago. For individuals living on fixed incomes, this increase doesn’t just strain budgets, it puts access to care at risk. It’s the difference between making an appointment or missing it altogether.
This is where our community comes in! Where you can help make a difference and be the life-line for many in our community. Our goal is to raise $75,000 by July 31 to help ensure that no senior is forced to choose between getting to a life-sustaining appointment and affording basic necessities like food or medication. Every dollar raised directly supports transportation services that keep our seniors safe, healthy, and connected. This campaign is about more than funding, it’s about showing our seniors that they are not alone. That their community sees them, values them, and is willing to step in when it matters most.

Sponsorship benefits include company logos featured on FSS transportation vehicles - turning each van into a moving billboard seen throughout Fayette County! Businesses also have the opportunity to work with FSS to create customized sponsorship packages tailored to meet their unique goals and community engagement efforts.
