There’s something pretty special about starting the morning with good friends, cool temps, and the sounds of birds singing through the woods!

Our bird walk at Line Creek Nature Area earlier this week was the perfect way to slow down, look a little closer, and enjoy the beauty happening all around us. From spotting feathered friends tucked among the trees to listening for familiar calls, every turn on the trail brought something new to discover.

A big thank you to Taylor King with the Southern Conservation Trust for sharing his knowledge and helping us see (and hear!) the woods in a whole new way!

🌺🌴 Island Fever was in the air at Fayette Senior Services! 🌴🌺

We turned up the tropical vibes for a night full of sunsets, smiles, music, dancing, and a whole lot of ALOHA spirt! A huge mahalo to the incredible people who made our Island Fever Luau such a fun and memorable evening:

Our amazing FSS kitchen crew served up an island-themed feast that had us all saying, “Aloha, seconds!” - Al Galius with Island Express Band brought the perfect island soundtrack and kept the good vibes flowing all night long! - Our incredible decorating volunteer Jennifer who transformed the space and truly set the mood. It felt like we had traded Fayette County for a tropical paradise! - The talented FSS Chair Hula Class wowed us with a wonderful performance during the evening and Shellee, our fabulous Hula Dancer, shared the beauty, history, and culture of hula dancing with us—and gave us a beautiful glimpse into this special tradition! - And of course, mahalo to all of our amazing volunteers who jumped in wherever needed and helped the evening run smoothly from start to finish. We couldn’t do it without you!

And a special shoutout and thank you to our event sponsor, Mark Gray State Farm , for helping make this tropical night possible!

What a night! We laughed, we danced, we ate, and we definitely caught a little Island Fever. 🌴

Mark your calendars, Dolly is coming to town!

Even if you may not be ready for assisted living just yet, how can you say no to Dolly Parton, refreshments, and a whole lot of fun?! 🎶

Our volunteers are simply the sweetest!

We had a great time celebrating our incredible FSS volunteers Monday with a morning of candy bingo, a colorful candy bar, and plenty of fun and fellowship at our quarterly Volunteer Appreciation social. We adore these amazing individuals who give so generously of their time and talents to Fayette Senior Services, and we love finding new ways to bring everyone together and spoil them a little!

What’s For Lunch? A great meal is even better when you have good company!

Our recent 'What’s For Lunch' outing was filled with delicious eats, great conversation, and plenty of reasons to get out and enjoy our community. Each month, Fayette Senior Services heads out to a local restaurant for a fun lunch outing where members can enjoy a meal, meet new people, and spend some time around town.
