We will always remember ❤️🇺🇸

This morning, U of A ROTC cadets, law enforcement officers and Northwest Arkansas community members gathered at Razorback Stadium for the annual University of Arkansas ROTC 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb.

Together, we honored the 110 flights climbed by heroes on September 11, 2001.

25 years ago, our nation changed forever.

2,977 lives lost.

441 first responders.

110 flights of stairs climbed.

Today, the University of Arkansas community came together to remember.

The University of Arkansas Police Department, alongside Army and Air Force ROTC, partner first responders, and members of the Razorback community, joined together to pay tribute to the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

With each flight, we remembered those who never made it home.
With each step, we honored the first responders who ran toward danger.
And with every name, every story, and every moment of silence, we remembered the lives behind the numbers.

25 years later, the sacrifice is still felt.
And the promise remains the same:

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

As we mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11 in 2026, we invite the campus community to join us in remembering those we lost and honoring the heroes who answered the call.

Join the Army ROTC and Air Force ROTC for the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium on Friday, September 11.

Gates open at 4:00 a.m.
Opening ceremony military and first responders at 4:30 a.m.
Opening ceremony general public at 5:30 a.m.

Together, we climb not only in remembrance, but in gratitude for the courage shown on that day and the legacy of service that lives on today.

Thank you to our partners at the FBI for joining us and supporting UAPD during our opening-season football game!

Little Rock personnel supported the University of Arkansas Police Department’s security operations during the season-opening Arkansas Razorback football game.

From our Special Agent Bomb Technicians (SABT) and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) program to our Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Coordinator and agents from our Fayetteville Resident Agency, FBI personnel provided specialized support for this major special event.

The FBI routinely provides specialized resources and operational support to our state and local law enforcement partners for special events, helping identify and mitigate potential threats and enhance safety.

By working together with our partners, we’re helping ensure Arkansas communities can enjoy large events with peace of mind, knowing law enforcement is present, prepared and working behind the scenes to help keep everyone safe
