Sometimes we’re so focused on what still needs to be done that we forget to recognize how far we’ve already come.

Maybe today you:

🌱 Got out of bed when it felt difficult.
πŸ’š Took a break when you needed one.
✨ Tried again after something didn't work.
🧠 Made it through a challenging moment.
🀝 Asked for help instead of doing it all alone.
β˜€οΈ Took one small step toward something important.

That counts.

Progress isn't always obvious. Growth doesn't always happen on our timeline. And you don't have to accomplish something extraordinary every day to be proud of yourself.

Take a moment today to look at how far you've come, not just how far you still want to go.

Give yourself some credit. You're doing better than you think. 🌿

At A New Leaf Therapeutic Services, we believe that growth happens one step at a time. Our Mental Health Clinicians are here to provide support, encouragement, and a safe space to navigate life's challenges.

πŸ’š You don't have to do it all alone.

Joy isn’t about feeling happy all the time. 🌱
Joy can be found in the small momentsβ€”a deep breath, a good laugh, a peaceful morning, or simply feeling safe enough to be yourself.
Protect your peace. Notice the little things. Let joy exist alongside the hard moments.

At A New Leaf, we spend our days helping children, families, and individuals grow, and we know that caring for others starts with taking care of ourselves.

This Labor Day, give yourself permission to:
β˜€οΈ Slow down
🌿 Spend time with people you love
πŸ’š Do something that makes you happy
😴 Get some rest
✨ Simply enjoy the day

You don't have to earn your rest.

Happy Labor Day from all of us at A New Leaf Therapeutic Services!

09/04/2026

A New Leaf Therapeutic Services will be closed Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.

πŸ’š September is Su***de Prevention Month

Sometimes a simple β€œHow are you really doing?” can open the door to a conversation someone desperately needs.

September gives us an opportunity to talk openly about su***de prevention, reduce stigma surrounding mental health, and remind our friends, families, coworkers, and communities that they don't have to face difficult moments alone.

If someone you care about seems to be struggling:

πŸ’š Check in. Don't be afraid to ask how they're doing.

πŸ‘‚ Listen. You don't need to have all the answers. Sometimes being heard is incredibly important.

🌿 Take their feelings seriously. Avoid minimizing what they're experiencing.

🀝 Encourage support. A trusted person or mental health professional can help them take the next step.

πŸ“± Stay connected. Continue checking in, even after the immediate conversation has ended.

And remember: You don't have to wait for a crisis to reach out for mental health support.

At A New Leaf Therapeutic Services, our Mental Health Clinicians provide a safe, compassionate space for children, teens, adults, and families to talk through life's challenges and develop healthy tools for moving forward.

πŸ’» Telehealth Mental Health Services are available throughout North Carolina
πŸ“ In-person services are available at our Grays Creek clinic

If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis or having thoughts of su***de, call or text 988 for the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. In an immediate emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

🌿 You are not a burden. Your feelings matter. Your life matters.

Let's make checking in part of how we care for one another. πŸ’š

Growing Together. Changing Lives.

πŸŽ‰πŸŒΏ PROMOTIONS FROM WITHIN: Celebrating Tania Wilson! πŸŒΏπŸŽ‰

One of our favorite things about growing as an organization is getting to watch our people grow right alongside us. πŸ’š

Today, we're excited to celebrate Tania Wilson, who has been promoted from Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to Talent Development Coordinator!

Tania began her journey with A New Leaf as an RBT, gaining valuable experience working directly with the children and families we serve. Through her dedication, commitment, and continued professional growth, she has earned the opportunity to take on a new challenge within our organization.

In her new role as Talent Development Coordinator, Tania will help support one of the most important parts of A New Leafβ€”our people. 🌱

We're proud to create an environment where employees can discover new opportunities, develop professionally, and build careers that grow beyond the role they started in.

Because sometimes the best way to build a great team is to grow the talent you already have. πŸ’š

πŸ‘ Congratulations, Tania!

We're so proud of your journey and excited to have you continue growing with the A New Leaf family!

πŸŽ’βœ¨ BACK TO SCHOOL = BACK TO BIG FEELINGS. πŸ’š

New classrooms.
New teachers.
New routines.
New expectations.

For some children, the excitement of a new school year comes with a littleβ€”or a lotβ€”of anxiety, stress, and uncertainty.

This school year, remember:

🌿 Routines create security.
πŸ’¬ Conversation creates connection.
🧠 Validation creates trust.
🎨 Play creates space to decompress.
β˜€οΈ Rest helps refill the cup.
πŸ’š Asking for help is a strength.

Try asking your child:

πŸ’¬ "What was the best part of your day?"
πŸ’¬ "What felt difficult today?"
πŸ’¬ "Is there anything you're worried about tomorrow?"
πŸ’¬ "How can I support you?"

And remember, not every back-to-school struggle needs to be solved immediately. Sometimes children need someone to listen, validate their feelings, and remind them that they're not alone.

If your child or teen is struggling with anxiety, stress, mood changes, school avoidance, or other emotional challenges, our licensed Mental Health Clinicians are here to help.

You Don't Have to Have It All Together. πŸ’š

We often put pressure on ourselves to keep going, stay productive, and handle everything on our own.

But asking for help isn't a weakness. It's a form of self-care.

You don't have to wait until you're overwhelmed to reach out for support.

Sometimes mental health care can help you:

🌿 Work through stress and life transitions
πŸ’š Develop healthier coping strategies
🧠 Better understand your thoughts and emotions
πŸ’¬ Improve communication and relationships
🌱 Build confidence and resilience
β˜€οΈ Create healthier routines and boundaries

At A New Leaf Therapeutic Services, our licensed Mental Health Clinicians provide compassionate, individualized support for children, adolescents, and adults.

And access to care shouldn't depend on where you live.

πŸ’» Telehealth Mental Health Services are available throughout North Carolina.
πŸ“ In-person services are also available at our Grays Creek location.

We proudly accept Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Aetna for Mental Health Services.

If you've been thinking about reaching out, consider this your reminder: You don't have to carry everything alone.

Gratitude has a way of changing our perspective. It reminds us to appreciate the little things, the people who support us, and the moments we often take for granted. Today, let’s pause, reflect, and simply be thankful for what we have. πŸ’›πŸ™

πŸ—£οΈ Talk About It Thursday: Communication Is More Than Words! 🌿

When we talk about communication, it's easy to think about talking, but communication is so much more than spoken words.

Children may communicate through:

πŸ‘‹ Gestures
😊 Facial expressions
πŸ“± AAC devices
πŸ–ΌοΈ Pictures
βœ‹ Sign language
πŸ‘€ Eye gaze
πŸ—£οΈ Spoken language
🀝 Body language

And every form of communication matters. πŸ’š

For some children, Speech Therapy may focus on developing clearer speech. For others, it may focus on language development, understanding and following directions, social communication, fluency, or finding alternative ways to express themselves.

There isn't one "right" way to communicate.

At A New Leaf Therapeutic Services, our Speech Therapy team provides individualized support designed around each child's unique strengths, needs, and goals.

Because when a child has a way to communicate, they have more opportunities to connect, participate, express themselves, and be understood.

🌿 Everyone has something to say. Let's help them be heard.

If you're wondering whether Speech Therapy could benefit your child, we're here to help.
