Ever wonder why fire hydrants are the color they are? The yellow barrel makes the hydrants more visible to responding firefighters. The green bonnet indicates the hydrant will flow 1,000-1,499 gallons per minute. Hydrants in Fayetteville are serviced twice a year.

The crew at Rescue 2 were honored to host a morning of training with Terry Sanford High School’s JROTC Program. JROTC members were able to learn about the department’s up and coming drone program and the department’s rescue/USAR capabilities. A wonderful morning of hands on training with a great group of future leaders of our great nation!
