Peace at Home provides emergency shelter, legal services, counseling, support groups, and housing.

We operate a 24 hour day, 365 day a year crisis hotline available in both Spanish and English. Our crisis line advocates assist clients with referral services, safety planning, and coming into shelter. Yesterday, we gathered at with the intention to make time for ourselves and make some art ✍️

Blackout poetry is a fun way to express yourself without the pressure of coming up with any prompts or grand ideas, allowing yourself to vibe with the words on any given page and check in with yourself. This is what makes the activity great for survivors of domestic violence, too. It eliminates decision fatigue or potential artist block from the equation! 💜

Every May, we celebrate another year of family pets finding safety and comfort at our shelter. Last year, The Candy Clark Pet Sanctuary provided a staggering 2,183 nights of safety for pets!

Peace at Home is proud to announce that our own board member, Tyler Benson, is being recognized as the 2026 Equal Justice Distinguished Service Award by the Arkansas Bar Foundation!

Tyler Benson has served on the Peace at Home board of directors for six years and became President Elect this year, following an earlier term from 2015 to 2018. Beyond his board service, he has supported the organization as a donor, advocate, and mentoring supervisor for its OVW-funded legal services program since 2014.

In this role, he has volunteered as a supervising attorney, helping train new lawyers while fostering compassion and professionalism. His mentorship has equipped staff attorneys with critical litigation and client-management skills to better serve vulnerable populations. Tyler also promotes pro bono work within the legal community, strengthening access to justice and support for domestic violence victims across Arkansas.
