Together, we walk for empowerment, visibility, and community 💪🏽💖

Arab Women for Women was honored to participate in the Every Woman’s Marathon, celebrating strength, sisterhood, and diversity. With support from our amazing partners at Canopy NWA, we proudly represented refugee and immigrant women in Northwest Arkansas — showing that every step forward is a step toward inclusion and belonging.

This wasn’t just a race — it was a reminder that every woman’s story matters.

🌿✨ What a wonderful time we had at the Arab Women of NWA’s monthly gathering! We learned so much about environmental wellness, home safety, and how we can all contribute to protecting our beautiful planet, thanks to the amazing Community Clinic team. This session’s highlight was our creative earring-making project, where we celebrated the beauty of diversity and empowered each other through art. 🌟 A Beautiful Gathering of Cultures and Community 🌟
We had a wonderful event where the Arab Women’s Group came together with our neighbors from the Afghan community and the NWA community. This gathering was a celebration of unity, art, and wellness, showcasing the strength and beauty of our diverse cultures.
🎶 Music and Art 🎨 Our love for music and art brought us together, creating a vibrant and beautiful atmosphere. The event featured an art project led by Malath Alanosi from the Arab Women of NWA, where women worked on creating felt homes, symbolizing warmth and togetherness.
💖 Social Wellness 🌿 A special section on social wellness was conducted by our community clinic, providing valuable insights and support for our well-being.
🍴 Delicious Cuisine 🍲 The food, artfully prepared by Siham, was a highlight of the event, bringing everyone together to enjoy delicious and beautifully presented dishes.
🛍️ Supporting Small Businesses 💼 The event also supported women in bringing their small crafts and baked goods to sell, promoting small businesses and economic independence.

We ended August with an amazing gathering organized by the Arab Women of Northwest AR, sponsored by Community Clinic and Canopy NWA. The event featured a session on the eight dimensions of wellness by Deb Crawford from the Community Clinic and an art project led by Malath Alatnosi, where we created felt homes to symbolize our journey of calling Arkansas home as refugee women. This project supports economic development and social integration through art.
A big thank you to the volunteers from the Arab Women group and community who helped with childcare and transportation.

🌟Last Saturday, we convened for our monthly gathering as Arab women in NWA, with the proud sponsorship of Canopy NWA. Our focus was on Technology and Opportunities! We are dedicated to supporting refugees and immigrants, aiding their integration and attainment of self-sufficiency in NWA, AR.
During the session, we shared valuable resources and collected insights on starting technology classes. But that’s not all! Our event included a vibrant bazaar where you could explore and purchase products from Arab women entrepreneurs who work from home. Think delicious baked goods, exquisite sewing, and freshly made bread! 🥖🧵🍰
Thanks to the women who organized it and to all the volunteer group members for making this another successful gathering and social support event. 💐🎉
