πŸ’™ What a week! Several members of our CAC team, along with some of our incredible MDT partners, traveled to Myrtle Beach to attend the CAC's of NC & SC Changing the Tide Seaside Symposium at the Sheraton Conference Center.

The learning was rich, the conversations were meaningful, and the commitment in that room was unmistakable. We're coming home with fresh knowledge, renewed energy, and even more tools to support the children and families we serve.

The tide is changing. And we're proud to be part of that fight. 🌊

Thank you to Children's Advocacy Centers of North Carolina and South Carolina Network of Children's Advocacy Centers for bringing advocates together in such a powerful way.

A whole community shows up for our kids.πŸ’›

At our 2026 Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner, we celebrated the people and partners who made 2025 a year of remarkable impact for the children and families we serve.

To our Multidisciplinary Team β€” the law enforcement officers, social workers, prosecutors, and advocates who walk into the hardest moments alongside our children β€” thank you. Your collaboration is what makes a coordinated, child-centered response possible.

To our Partners in Prevention β€” the organizations, schools, churches, and businesses across our community working to keep children safe before harm ever happens β€” thank you for choosing prevention.

To our volunteers, who gave thousands of hours in 2025, and especially to the 29 individuals who each logged more than 40 hours of service β€” you are the heart of this Center. Every welcoming front desk, every facilitated group, every hand held in a hard moment happens because of you.

A special congratulations to our 2025 Volunteer of the Year, Debbie Browning. Her service represents so much more than time on a clock β€” it represents showing up, again and again, for children who need it most.

We are deeply grateful to every person who said yes to this mission in 2025. πŸ’›

🌟 Today we’re celebrating someone who truly makes this place run and we don’t say that lightly.

Thank you to our incredible Administrative Professional, Kathy Jarman. She is celebrating her ONE YEAR anniversary with our CAC family.

Kathy, you bring so much heart and dedication to everything you do behind the scenes. We are so glad you’re here to help us do this work. Here’s to you! πŸ’›πŸŽ‰

πŸŽ“ Congratulations, Elizabeth!

This past Saturday, she officially earned her Master of Science in Forensic Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University β€” and we could not be more proud.

Years of hard work, and she did it. This is a huge milestone, and she deserves every bit of this moment. πŸ’›

πŸ’› We are overwhelmed with gratitude!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Cross Creek Subaru and the Subaru Share the Love Event, the Child Advocacy Center received a check for $23,895, a gift that goes directly toward supporting child abuse survivors and the families who love them.

To every Subaru owner who chose CAC as their charity this season: thank you. You turned a car purchase into a lifeline for a child in our community.

This is what it looks like when a business truly invests in the people around them. We are so proud to be a Cross Creek Subaru Share the Love partner. 🀍

Some people talk about making a difference. And then there's Lili. πŸ’™πŸ’™

This weekend, this incredible young woman spent 10+ hours going door to door through her neighborhood, selling raffle tickets for the CAC Ultimate Lip Sync Showdown.

She raised over $1,000 for the Child Advocacy Center.

We are so proud of you, Lili. And so deeply grateful to every single person who supported her. Your generosity matched her courage, and together you made something beautiful happen for the children we serve.

This is what it looks like when a community shows up for its most vulnerable kids. πŸ’™

Interested in purchasing raffle tickets from the CAC? Give us a call at 910.486.9700. We can't wait to see you for the CAC Ultimate Lip Sync Showdown on Saturday, May 2nd at the Crown Complex.

We have the most incredible volunteers -- and last week, they got a night out they truly deserved. 🌟

Thanks to the generosity of Cape Fear Regional Theatre, our staff and volunteers were treated to a performance of Driving Miss Daisy as part of their nonprofit night.

What a gift.

These are the people who show up -- again and again -- for the children and families we serve. They've led Stewards of Children trainings, stuffed envelopes, handmade blankets for kids in crisis, shopped for families at Christmas, built bookshelves, planted flowers, and even changed out our marquee. There is no task too big or too small when your heart is in it.

Pictured here are some of our beloved volunteers: John, Scott, Gina, Wendy, Carl, and Dixie. (Sharon, we see you too -- we know you were there! 🎭)

CFRT, thank you for seeing us, supporting us, and reminding our team that they matter. As one of our valued Partners in Prevention, you help us build a safer, stronger community -- on stage and off.
