Safety Town NWA welcomed us for the second year. We had a blast sharing our equipment, motorcycles, and a K9 with all the kids, as well as having a good lesson on gun safety. Thanks for having us!

Members of the Fayetteville Police Department Honor Guard had the privilege of attending the funeral service for Centerton Police Captain Chris Kelley.

As part of that tribute, the FPD Honor Guard performed the rifle volley, a time-honored tradition symbolizing respect, gratitude, and remembrance for a life of service.

Please continue to keep Captain Kelley’s loved ones in your thoughts.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS! The Fayetteville Police Department will be hosting a car seat event at the Northwest Arkansas Mall on Tuesday, June 30 from 9am-noon. We will be in the parking lot at the southwest corner of the property. Please have your child present if you wish to obtain a new car seat or have your car seat checked.

Although we will have many Child Passenger Safety Technicians on site, there will most likely be a wait and a line. Please plan accordingly.

D-Day Remembrance – June 6, 1944

Today, we pause to remember the courage, sacrifice, and determination of the Allied forces who stormed the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944. Known as D-Day, this historic operation marked a turning point in World War II and began the liberation of Western Europe from tyranny.

More than 160,000 Allied troops crossed the English Channel and faced unimaginable danger, knowing that many would never return home. Their bravery and selfless service secured freedoms that generations have enjoyed ever since.

At the Fayetteville Police Department, we recognize the profound commitment these service members made in defense of others. Their example of duty, honor, and sacrifice continues to inspire those who serve their communities today.

On this anniversary, we honor the heroes of D-Day and all members of the Greatest Generation whose courage changed the course of history.

We remember. We honor. We are grateful.
