Filing Dates Set for Board of Education,
Soil & Water Conservation Races

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Cumberland County Board of Elections announces important dates for candidates filing for the Cumberland County Board of Education and the Cumberland County Soil & Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors.
Filing for the Soil & Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors begins Monday, June 8, 2026, at 12 p.m. and ends Monday, July 6, 2026, at 5 p.m. Two seats, each four-year terms, are available. The filing fee is $5.
Filing for the Cumberland County Board of Education begins Monday, July 6, 2026, at 8 a.m. and ends Friday, August 7, 2026, at 12 p.m. Three at‑large seats, each four-year terms, are available. The filing fee is $142.
The Cumberland County Board of Elections will be closed Friday, July 3, 2026, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
The Cumberland County Board of Elections is located in the E. Newton Smith Center at 227 Fountainhead Lane in Fayetteville. For more information, call 910‑678‑7733 or visit cumberlandcountync.gov/elections. Regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
