In recognition of our ISO Class 1 achievement, the department was honored to receive the first Fire Commission Award of Excellence, along with the County Crest, from the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners.

These awards were presented during the CCFCA Annual Christmas Dinner.

The department held its annual Christmas Banquet Saturday evening, and it was a great time celebrating with our members, their families, and many past members. The night was filled with fellowship, reflection, and appreciation for the dedication that makes our department strong.

We were proud to recognize the following award recipients:


Firefighter of the Year - Rick Swann
Officer of the Year – Chief Steven Parrish
Leo Savage Award – Andrew Hawkins

We also recognized milestones in service:

5 Years of Service – Andrew Mears, Kyla Gonzales, and

45 Years of Service – Chief Steven Parrish

This evening, Cumberland Road Fire Department proudly celebrated a very special milestones — our 70th Anniversary. It was an evening filled with reflection, gratitude, fellowship, and pride in how far our department has come since its founding in 1955.

Seventy years ago, a few determined neighbors came together with a shared purpose: to protect their community. They had no modern fleet, no advanced equipment, no computers—only the will to serve. From their commitment grew a department that has continued to evolve, adapt, and stand strong through time.

Our success is shaped by many hands. To our active members, your dedication is the heartbeat of this department. To our former members, you laid the foundation and paved the road we walk today. And to the families who sacrifice evenings, weekends, holidays, and quiet moments so we can answer the call, you are the silent strength behind every achievement.

As we recognize seventy years of service, we look ahead with pride, commitment, and responsibility. The challenges of tomorrow may change, but our mission remains the same: to serve with integrity, compassion, and unwavering professionalism.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Cumberland Road Fire Department over the past 70 years. We are proud of our past, grateful for our present, and excited for what the future holds.
