A legacy of education. A future of opportunity.

Judy Strother is honoring the memory of her late husband, Lane Strother, with a $50,000 gift to establish a Land of Opportunity Scholarship Endowment supporting students from Baxter and Marion counties.

As first-generation college graduates, Judy and Lane knew firsthand how education can open doors and create opportunities for generations to come.

Their gift will help Arkansas students pursue their degrees while receiving support beyond financial aid, including mentorship, academic coaching, financial planning and experiences like study abroad, undergraduate research and internships.

“Lane believed deeply in education, and I believe one of the best ways to honor his memory is by helping students pursue their own dreams,” Judy said.

Lane’s legacy will continue to create opportunities for Arkansas students for years to come.
