The Shelby Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a special meeting on March 18, 2025, at 7:00 PM to review and approve the material costs for the fire station’s building addition.

Due to rising steel costs influenced by tariffs, we are seeking approval to move forward with the steel purchase to keep the project on track. We encourage members to attend and provide input.

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,
Shelby Volunteer Fire Department

The new helicopter pad at Post 602 in Shelby was utilized for the first time yesterday afternoon to life flight a critically injured patient. The Shelby and Industry VFDs were involved in treating and transporting the patient, while PHI provided the air ambulance service. The helicopter pad serves a large area across Fayette, Austin, and Washington Counties; ensuring patients requiring immediate care can be quickly airlifted for treatment.

We want to thank the Shelby VFD for their massive effort in making this helicopter pad a reality and furthering the Legion's mission of supporting our community.
